Global Education Week is an international awareness-raising initiative supporting civic engagement, global solidarity and active citizenship for sustainable development. It is organised in the framework of iLEGEND III, a joint project co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe.
The 2026 edition focuses on critical thinking and engaging with different perspectives as a way to challenge narratives, support democratic culture and encourage concrete action through Global Education. Activities can take place anywhere: in your school, classroom, organisation, in person or online!
EFIL proudly participates in the campaign as a member of the Global Education Network of the North-South Center of the Council of Europe through our own and our members’ activities on peace and citizenship education.
