International learning mobility for teachers and teacher educators is a strategic lever for strengthening school internationalisation and supporting high-quality learning mobility in school education. In this paper, EFIL and ATEE set out key policy considerations for the European Teacher Agenda, with a focus on how teacher education systems can better integrate international openness, mobility opportunities and competence development throughout the teaching career. The paper combines EFIL’s experience in pupil mobility and intercultural learning with ATEE’s expertise in teacher education.
