Intercultural learning
Increasing outreach, inclusivity, diversification and quality of intercultural learning opportunities

the most competent knowledge resource in the field of internationalisation of secondary schools
Through a continuous focus on evidence-based policy and practice, EFIL aims at profiling as the most competent knowledge resource on the internationalisation of secondary schools in Europe. In this context, EFIL and its Members will be recognised by educational stakeholders as experts in intercultural and global citizenship education, learning mobility, and recognition of competences developed during the period abroad. EFIL is currently the only European not-for-profit organisation which has showcased research findings in this area thanks to its partnerships with key organisations. EFIL will continue to lead in this sector and provide visibility to its knowledge and the one of its Members and how this contributes towards public policies on internationalisation of schools. Within this impact area, EFIL will focus on a constant development of its expertise and on identifying and showcasing the competences gained through intercultural learning opportunities, notably in the context of the Long-Term Individual Pupil Mobility, assessing the impact on personal growth and on the other stakeholders involved in the sending and host country.

We foster co-operation and make our expertise available in the fields of non-formal education, learning mobility and intercultural learning
EFIL aims at fostering cooperation among our Members and other actors in the fields of non-formal education, learning mobility and intercultural learning as this is essential for progress in these fields, as well as serving the objectives of public dialogue and fundraising. EFIL will make its expertise available and facilitate connections between organisations and institutions, also involving its Members in these efforts.

Member Organisations improve and diversify their offer of intercultural learning opportunities, building on EFIL initiatives
