ACTIVE – Active Citizenship Tools in Various Environments is a project initiated by EFIL, in cooperation with AFS Intercultural Programs and financially supported by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
It aims at giving attention to the topic of active citizenship within the AFS network and create a link between intercultural learning and active citizenship at all levels of society.
In the past three months, the ACTIVE Team was busy finalising the ACTIVE Manual of activities, launching the AFS Active Citizens Video and preparing for the ACTIVE Webinars. The Webinars are planned for the following dates:
- 4 October: The link between AFS and Active Citizenship
- 25 October: An overview of ACTIVE tools to use in AFS activities
- 1st November: How to be visible AFS Changemakers
They will take place on Sundays, from 18:30 to 19:30 CET.
The ACTIVE team was also present at the EFIL Volunteer Summer Summit 2015 (see elsewhere in this edition of EFILife), where they delivered a workshop and to collect volunteers testimonials on how are they Active Citizens in everyday lives.
Finally, ACTIVE also produced much promotional material (ACTIVE A1 Poster, leaflets and stickers) that was sent to the AFS offices all around Europe
