From AFS Austria comes the news that Sibylle Eberhard has decided to leave AFS and pursue new professional endeavors. The recruitment of a replacement was successful and Stefanie Brandwein started as new sending coordinator on 4 February. Stefanie is an AFSer herself (to the US) and has been actively involved in volunteering for AFS Germany between 2007 and 2010. She holds a BA in education and moved to Vienna last summer. AFS Germany announced the departure of Yukiko Elisabeth Kobayashi as National Director in December 2018. After a brief and intensive recruitment process, AFS Germany is happy to share the news that Marcel Krause, former Partner Director of AFS Spain, has been appointed as new National Director of AFS Germany, effective as of 1 April 2019.
