The preparations for the 12th Edition of the EFIL Volunteer Summer Summit, to take place in Bad Gleichenberg, Austria from 14th to 19th July are in full swing. The application window is closing and we are encouraging you to apply until the 22th of April on the our website www.efilsummersummit.org.

In planning this year VSS we are happy to work with a talented and highly motivated team of volunteers. All our amazing volunteers have been selected and are eager to get their hands dirty. By following the VSS website, you will be able to get to know each person in the team better.
The preparatory meeting
In February the prep team met in Vienna, to draft the objectives and agenda of this year’s VSS.
The topic of this years VSS is #AFSEffect: Volunteering for Impact. Volunteers are the backbone of most AFS activities and their commitment to making the local community a better place is outstanding. However, the complexity of today’s world with its multitude of communication channels and its overload of information make it difficult to obtain the momentum needed for social transformation. Through a series of workshops, this year’s VSS wants to empower volunteers with tools, best-practices, and innovative approaches in order to maximise their social impact online as well as offline!
