From the 17-18 and 23-24 November 2014, Inga Menke from the EFIL office travelled to Romania to meet key volunteers involved in the establishment of AFS structures in the country. Different meetings regarding the registration of a future AFS organisation in Romania took place. Key people came together to discuss the process of the registration, the challenges faced so far and future steps to speed up the process.

In a second meeting with a larger group of volunteers future steps and tasks were discussed. Volunteers were able to share their needs and interests and commit to specific tasks such as designing a logo for the new organisation, creating a flyer for ECTP (EFIL’s European Citizenship Trimester Programme) and developing a website. Volunteers committed to promote ECTP for sending and are eager to start hosting once the new organisation is created.

In addition, a meeting with Banca Intesa SanPaolo was scheduled to meet the new responsible for the Intercultural Scholarship Programme. EFIL hopes that the cooperation will continue in the future and be as fruitful as in the past.
