Good news from Bulgaria. In August the volunteers of Intercultural Exchanges Bulgaria (IEB) held their General Assembly and a new Board has been elected : Svetla Kaisheva (Chair), Antoaneta Mateeva (Vice-Chair) and Dmitar Vezenkov (Treasurer). They had their first Board meeting on 15 September. They are now preparing the documentation for the official court registration of the new Board.
Svetla Kaisheva is a strong leader with an excellent network, Antoaneta Mateeva is an experienced volunteer, and Dmitar Vezenkov has the enthusiasm of youth. Svetla Kaisheva was sponsored by EFIL to attend the Governance and Leadership seminar in Prague at the end of August, which was a great opportunity for her to meet staff and Board members from several AFS organisations around Europe.
