The moment to say goodbye has arrived. For the past 12 months, I had one of the greatest experiences in my life – living abroad, while working in a great office with amazing people!

I had the chance to be part of ACTIVE, work in ECTP, the ‘Shaping Identities – Shaping Societies’ seminar in Poland, the European Youth Event, represent EFIL in several external advocacy events and meet a lot of great people in the field of youth work.

I have also learned how to make the amazing EFIL’s cappucino, how to cook pasta in a microwave, how fast chocolate can go and where it’s hidden, and how difficult is to leave such a great working environment.

I also had the chance to be involved in my community and be part of the choir and the scouts group, where I could practice French. Unfortunately, my Dutch still need a lot of improvement, but I am certainly better than before.

I am thankful for all the learning opportunities I had, allowing me to improve myself every day, giving me the chance to be much more confident to face the new challenges to come.

And speaking about new challenges, I recently became part of the Board of AFS Portugal. I am sure that all the knowledge gained in EFIL will be very useful for my work on the Board.

I truly hope I can see you all very soon!
