The European Youth Event will take place in Strasbourg for the second time. “Together we can make a change” is the topic of the 2016 edition that will involve 7000 participants.
EFIL recruited one of the biggest delegations: 25 participants from 12 countries, including Egypt, Belgium French, Finland, Germany, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain,Turkey and Romania, as well as 4 Preparatory Team Members – Viktoria Bedo (AFS France/Hungary), Stasa Stojkov (AFS Serbia), Alexandra Ruivo Cordeiro (EFIL/AFS Portugal) and Elisa Briga (EFIL).
EFIL features in the EYE programme with one event co-organised with ESN, EEE-YFU and YEU on recognition of mobility and non-formal education which will include the launch of a campaign for the recognition of the study period abroad during secondary school.
There will not only be the activities listed in the programme, but much more offered by youth organisations in the YO! Village in the Hubs, one for each of the 5 topics of the EYE.
EFIL will then run two activities at the ‘War and Peace Hub’: one about peace education in collaboration with YEU and one on Active Citizenship, based on the ACTIVE Manual of Activities.
Alexandra and Viktoria will attend the EYE 2nd Prep meeting in Strasbourg, involving more than 70 people: there they will cooperate with the other 50 partners of the event in shaping this huge and promising initiative!
