EFIL’s new Training Advisory Body (TAB) has been installed in 2007. Lisa Cohen, AFS-IP Training Consultant, Satu Kuivalainen, Organisational Development Coordinator (ODC) of AFS Finland, Francesco Fratagnoli, ODC of AFS Italy, Philipp Wagner, Board Chair of AFS Austria, and Izabela Jurczik, EFIL’s Training Co-ordinator, will put their energy and expertise together to make it a success.
The roles of the new TAB can be described by three general result areas:
1. Develop a coherent and strategic training approach, in line with the objectives and result areas of the EFIL Strategic and Operational Plans. This will include defining and prioritising training needs in the European AFS network, define roles and tasks of the European Pool of Trainers, etc.
2. Support EFIL’s Training Coordinator with the planning and organisation of centrally run European and international training courses, seminars and projects.
3. Act as a consulting body for Member Organisations who intend to set up joint training events on a regional level.
The Training Advisory Body meets twice a year.
The last meeting took place on November 16th and 17th 2007 in Guadarrama, Spain.
